Departmental Advising

If you do not fall into one of the populations listed above, you are advised in your department. Your advisor is a faculty member or professional advisor in your major department. You may be advised in a group or individual session, depending on the department and/or advisor’s policies.

Contact your department to schedule an advising session and find out more about their advising process. You can find the contact information for your department in the “A to Z Index” on the WVU website.

How do I make an appointment?

There are two ways to schedule an appointment:

  • Call our scheduling desk at (304) 293-5805. When you call our scheduling desk, our professional staff can answer quick questions and schedule you for the appropriate appointment.
  • Stop by our scheduling desk during regular business hours: 8:15am-4:45pm Monday-Friday.
